Today I am sharing some beautiful 6 x 6" cards made from mica sprayed backgrounds
featuring dies from Paper Rose.
The spray reacted differently on various surfaces (recycled packaging)
making some really cool effects.
Sometimes areas can be left sticky after spraying.
I dealt with this by rubbing with a gold foil sheet. The random effect is ...WOW shine!!
The Circlet Layered Background dies 1,2,& 3 have been used in various combinations for these cards matched with the fabulous Layered Hello sentiment die, and the Banners & Stars die.
The background mount for this card was a wipe off sheet for my brayer.
It turned out so cool & textured I decided to use it on my card front.
The shadow layer of hello was slightly offset.
Love the contrast colours with the gold & metallic blue using Layered Circlet 1 #16808
& Layered Circlet 2 #16811.
More contrasting colours with Layered Circlet 1 #16808 in peachy yellow gold
& Layered Circlet 3 #16814 in Bronze.
Sentiment from Hello Clear Stamp set #17304.
Stitched background was made using the Stitched Rectangle Frames die #16679.
Slightly offsetting two layers of the Circlet 1 die gives a 'globe' or ball shape effect.
Darker background fussy cut out.
Dainty butterfly #16611 cut out of contrasting colours. Can you spot the gold foil highlights.
Sentiment from Hello Clear Stamp set #17304.
Hope this encourages you to dig out those old mica sprays & give this a try.
It is really very easy & looks very effective.
Cheers for now
