WELCOME BABY FLIP ALBUM

Hi Readers,

Today I am sharing a sweet Flip Album to store New Baby Memories

featuring gorgeous products from Paper Rose.

I adore the Snugglepot & Cuddlepie Gumnut Babies Stamps & dies 

that Paper Rose have in their range.

So beautiful for Baby & Aussie Themed projects.

As well as the focal point on the cover I have featured Gumnut Babies 

on the unique Ticket Embellishment for the Album decoration.  

I have made a tutorial on how these tickets were created on a previous blog post here .

The covers are chipboard from my stash with holes drilled ready for ring inserts. 

The chipboard has been swiped with gold embossing paste. 

Then once dry, covered with a layer of white crackle paste.

The crackle that forms show off the golden underlayer.

The Thanks a Bunch Stamp set was white heat embossed on water colour paper,

then water coloured with Distress reinkers & a water brush forming the background.

Snugglepot & Cuddlepie Bush Babies + Accessories stamp & die sets

were stamped in Black Archival Ink & clear heat embossed before colouring in

& cutting out.  Attached with foam squares to background.

Welcome Baby stamp also in Black Archival ink & heat embossed.

Three different Stitched Eucalyptus dies were cut from 

cardstock pre coloured with Distress Spray Stain.

Layered to frame the focal pint on the cover.

The Ticket Embellisments & Charms were attached with Pink Ribbon.

Inside pages were cut to fit from some of my favourite stencilled, coloured & ready made papers from the Dream in Pastel paper range from Paper Rose.

Hope this gives you some inspiration for a gift for a new Mum or Grandma or just for yourself.

Make your own embellishments from Ticket Die Cuts

Hi There,

Today I want to share a fun technique for making your own personalized embellishments 

from Ticket die cuts.

These are the Personalized tickets I created using Paper Rose products.

The Ticket Die set has 5 various shaped tickets.  I cut out multiples of each from white cardstock.

I grouped the tickets in strips sticking them down in a row to pieces of thin paper tape.
I pressed the tape to my clothes first to reduce the stickiness of the tape so easier to remove later.

I then stamped with Black Archival Ink in repetitive patterns across the tickets.  

Any small designs are suitable, or just part of an image.

Some of the stamped images crossed from one ticket to another, 

making a continuous scene or pattern.

Small sayings or words look great too.
It is much easier to stamp on the row of tickets than each individual one.

Next it is important to only colour the focal images.
I used Distress Markers & a water brush. You could use any medium you like.

Just remember to leave the backgrounds blank for now.

The colour I used for skin tones was a mixture of Spun Sugar & Tattered Rose. 

Tiny amounts of watered down Aged Mahogany for the blush in the cheeks & shading.

Any colours you like for the Gumnuts!

Brighter colours for the Gumnut Flowers!

And add a tiny speck of blue in each eye!

Dry with a heat tool before going any further!!

Apply glossy accents or matte accents to those focal images that you have coloured

& set aside to dry completely. Try to cover with a fairly thick layer.

To colour the backgrounds once the Glossy Accents was dry,
I used a Distress ink blending tool with foam & Distress Inks to blend over the entire ticket strip.

I blended in cooler blue colours from one side & warmer yellow tones from the other.

This gives the impression of a horizon.

I then used a fine speckle stamp or written text stamp to give more texture to the background.

Flicking water & drying with a heat tool gives even more visual texture.

The glossy accents on the focal image resists the Distress inks used on the background.
Finish by just wiping over the images gently with a soft cloth.

The tickets are then ready to use in other projects, either singly or in a strip.

Here I have used some to embellish card fronts as you can see below.

They are really fun to make & very addictive.
